These Terms & Conditions govern access to the BankHelp website and, where incorporated into a customer relationship, use of the BankHelp bank-statement analysis platform and API. A separate commercial agreement or accepted offer may contain additional terms; if it expressly conflicts with these website terms, the separately agreed terms control for that customer.
1. Service operator
BankHelp is operated by BankHelp, Riga, Latvia. Questions may be submitted through the contact page.
2. What BankHelp does
BankHelp accepts supported bank-statement formats, extracts transaction and account information, normalizes supported currencies, categorizes transactions, calculates review metrics and presents structured results through a web interface or API.
BankHelp is an analysis and workflow tool. It does not itself grant credit, make lending decisions, provide legal or financial advice, or replace a customer's independent review.
3. Eligibility and company accounts
Access is intended for authorized business users. A customer is responsible for deciding who may use its workspace, keeping user details current and promptly disabling access that is no longer required.
4. Lawful use of bank-statement data
You may submit a bank statement or personal data only when you are authorized and have a valid lawful basis to process it for the intended purpose. You must not use BankHelp to obtain, analyze or disclose financial data unlawfully, deceptively or beyond the authority given to you.
Customers remain responsible for regulatory, creditworthiness, consumer-protection, record-retention and human-review obligations that apply to their own business decisions.
5. Accounts and security
Login credentials and API keys must be kept confidential and may not be shared outside authorized users. You must notify the service operator promptly if you reasonably suspect unauthorized access. Attempts to bypass access controls, probe other customers' data, overload the service, introduce malicious code or interfere with security controls are prohibited.
6. Accuracy and human review
Bank statements vary between banks, countries and export formats. Parsing, merchant recognition, currency conversion and categorization can therefore contain errors or ambiguity. Results must be reviewed by an appropriately qualified person before they are used for lending, compliance, accounting, employment, legal or other high-impact decisions.
7. External services and FX data
Some features may depend on external services, including historical FX-rate data and optional AI refinement. Their availability and outputs may change independently of BankHelp. Historical reference rates may differ from a card scheme's or bank's actual settlement rate; when a statement already contains the booked EUR amount, BankHelp can use that booked value rather than estimating it again.
8. Intellectual property
The BankHelp name, software, interface, design, documentation, categorization logic and original website materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Except where expressly permitted by an agreement or applicable law, they may not be copied, resold, reverse engineered, redistributed or presented as another service.
You retain rights in data you lawfully submit. You grant the service operator only the rights necessary to process that data to provide, secure and support the requested service.
9. Availability and changes
BankHelp may be updated, maintained, temporarily unavailable or modified to improve functionality, security or compliance. No uninterrupted or error-free availability is guaranteed unless a separate written service-level agreement says otherwise.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated where necessary to address security risk, unlawful use, material breach, non-payment under an applicable commercial agreement, or a legal requirement. Customer data handling on termination is governed by the applicable agreement, Privacy Policy and legal obligations.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BankHelp is provided as a decision-support tool and the service operator is not responsible for a customer's independent lending, accounting, compliance or other business decision merely because BankHelp output was considered. Any specific liability limits agreed with a customer in writing take precedence.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
12. Privacy
Personal-data handling is described in the Privacy Policy. Customers that submit third-party bank statements are responsible for ensuring they have authority and an appropriate legal basis for that processing.
13. Governing law and disputes
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, subject to mandatory rules that may apply. The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through written communication before pursuing formal remedies.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to BankHelp, applicable law or commercial practice. The current version and update date will be published on this page. Material contractual changes for existing paying customers are subject to the applicable customer agreement.
